To support 'continuity of attention' one only has to go to the Buddha’s admonishment to his son in MN 61: He says, "…Reflect before, during, and after any thought, speech, and/or action and ask yourself, " Is this thought speech, and/or action for the benefit or for the detriment to self, to others, or to both? Then only should you act or speak, Rahula?
